Tubular Heaters and Electric Immersion Heaters
|

|
Tubular heaters, also known as electric immersion heaters, are round heaters usually longer than cartridge heaters and of a lower watt density. Tubular heaters can be order annealed, which allows them to be bent in configurations to conform to a platen or mold configuration. Tubular heaters are constructed of steel or stainless steel sheath with single and double ended voltage termination. Tubular heaters are available in 3-phase construction with internal thermocouples. A few of the applications for tubular heaters have been in the food, plastics, medical and process industries.
Applications:
- Designed primarily for direct immersion in
liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process
solutions, molten materials as well as air and
gases.
- By generating all the heat within the liquid or
process, these heaters are virtually 100 percent
energy efficient.
- Can also be formed and shaped into various
geometries for radiant heating and contact surface
heating applications.
- ULŪ and CSA component recognized elements
available.
